Part 2: The Theme of 'Death' and 'Imbalance':
The Dance of Death
The Scythe held by the Grim Reaper, would be the first item we would examine if we were looking for the angle of 23.5 degrees.
However, the angle of the handle is 33º .
Although the number 33 is significant as regards certain Orders of the occult or esoteric - especially Freemasonry - its not satisfying here and appears to have no meaning. The only direct meaning I could derive from it, is the circular blade of the scythe to which I then fitted a circle which centred nicely on the intersection of the two 23.5º lines. For me, this circle represents the circumference of the earth and as we can see it surrounds the Grim Reaper. If this was not intended, then it is interesting all the same. If intended, then my own interpretation would be, that the earth being tilted means that we are forever caught in the cycles of life and death - as expressed in the cycles of the seasons which depend of the tilt of the axis.
If the earth's axis was 0º vertical, there would be no seasons - only continuous 'springtime' or continual Equinox in most regions.
9. The circle of the earth indicated by the circular angle of the scythe - completing what appears to be a simple diagram of the earth and the 'hour-glass' picture often used to explain the 'precessional cycle'. See here:
This could all be a coincidence, but I also found other angles in the painting which I knew well - one of which is also associated with the obliquity of the earth's axis and precession . . .
10. The angles of 52º and 18º (72º )
As we can see the angle of the sword held high by the human figure on horseback is 18 degrees.
The angle of 18º is also 72º . If we subtract 18 from 90, we get 72, and 72 is a number associated with Precession as it takes 72 years for the sun to move back (precess) 1 degree in a 360-degree circle or cycle amounting to 25,920 years.
This last number is the duration of the cycle of precession, which is associated with the tilt of the earth's axis at 23.5º .
72 is also the figure associated with man - as 72 years - or "three score years and ten", is the average human life-span and the human life cycle like many others, appears to be tied-in with the precessional cycle as was/is believed by the initiate.
It should be emphasised that 72 years is a round-figure which has been used and found in many different sources.
The true duration of the sun through 1 degree, of this 360-degree cycle, is 71.55 years, and the true figure for the duration of the precessional cycle is 25,758 years. However, the figures of 72 and 25920 were used as they were easier to encode, being based on multiples of the number 9 - e.g., 7 + 2 = 9. 2 + 5 + 9 + 2 = 18. 18 divided by 2 = 9, or 1 + 8 = 9 and so on.
It should be mentioned that the true figure regarding the inclination of the earth's axis is 23.43 degrees and in 'arc minutes' it is 23º 26’ - but again the figure of 23.5º is often used and still used today, as one will find this figure in many science or geophysics text books.
As we can see, the angle of 52 degrees is also present in the painting in the angle of the sword hanging from the waist of the Grim Reaper which is 38 degrees - again, 90 - 38 = 52.
We also find the angle of 52º in many of these sources which reference the 23.5º angle.
This is interesting because the significant thing about the angle of 52º is that this is the angle of the inclined sides of the Great Pyramid, so if someone wanted to bring attention to the Great Pyramid they would only have to give reference to the angle of 52º .
This would mean that this knowledge, as known to the initiated, must reach back thousands of years to the time when the Great Pyramid was built and perhaps even earlier.
But we must ask ourselves, why is the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt also being referenced?
Well it might have something to do with the FACT that the Great Pyramid contains encoded information about the geophysics of the earth's axis - something I discovered in 2002 - and that perhaps this is one of the major reasons why the GP was built in the first place. It is as if the well-informed people (initiates) who referenced these angles, are telling us that the Great Pyramid, or even Giza itself, contains the answers to the mysteries about our past. We could perhaps conjecture that the reason why Giza and the GP contains this knowledge (being a theory I am seriously entertaining at present) is that in the aftermath of what appears to have been a major catastrophe which tipped the earth and nearly caused the death of the human race and almost everything on the earth, it was decided that knowledge about the geophysics of the earth and other knowledge be preserved.
In any case, its early days yet, and there is much more to look at which gives more support to this hypothesis.
More examples are given below, and everything we have looked at so far, is only the proverbial "tip of the iceburg" . . . the best is yet to come.
12. The illustration on the left is from the book Copenhagen's Dance of Death: Death to the King. 1536. The scepter is angled at 23.5º . On the right we see the same information encoded in the angles of the arms - one of which is pointing at the dead king and right at his testicles - reminding us of the wound of the 'Fisher King' whose land has become an infertile wasteland. The scabard and sword are angled at 52º - being the incline angle of the Great Pyramid.
The angle of 52º is almost as frequent as the angle of 23.5º in many of these sources.
